ABOUT SHARKY
Ahmed Mamdouh Abdel Aziz ‘Sharky’ graduated from Washington University with a degree in Business Management. Stepping away from the corporate world, Ahmed “Sharky” Mamdouh, entered the professional world of diving in 2007. During his time as a PADI Pro, Ahmed has worked in dive centers in Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, owned and operated his own safari boat, and founded Deco Divers, an independent dive operator that offers diving experiences throughout the world.
In 2016, Ahmed took his professional career to the next level and began staffing Instructor Development Courses. He has worked with several course directors throughout Egypt. In 2019 Ahmed achieved PADI’s most prestigious diving certification and became a PADI Course Director.
Ahmed is fluent and has experience delivering IDC courses in Arabic, English, and French. He is also an ambassador for Aqua Lung and Apeks Egypt and the Shark Project.

As a Course Director, Ahmed strives to provide each of his Instructor Development Course candidates with the knowledge and skills to provide divers with transformational experiences. As a Course Director, his greatest strength is student-centered instruction that uses his extensive diving experience to meet each candidate’s unique needs. The “Go Pro with Sharky” experience extends well beyond the length of your course as he supports you in developing a long career as a diving professional.
